Next week is International Babywearing Week 2012!
Organised by Babywearing International, International Babywearing Week is a chance to celebrate, promote, and advocate the many benefits of babywearing, and Sheffield Babywearers is pleased to be an official celebrating organisation.

We have lots of events in Sheffield planned for next week, all designed to help share our love of babywearing. If you see us out and about, come and say hello!
On Sunday 7 October we are taking part in the Three Dams Walk, raising money for Sheffield Children's Hospital. Charity fundraising is an increasingly important part of Sheffield Babywearers' events calendar, and so far this year we have raised nearly £1300 for various charities.
On Monday 8 October we are doing a shorter walk, involving more cake, in the Rivelin Valley. Join us at 10am for a walk, or later in the cafe if you're feeling lazy!
On Tuesday 9 October Sheffield Sling Library is holding its usual open house event from 10am until 1pm. Go down to browse the slings, try them out, and get some advice from Natasha on how to choose and use them.
On Wednesday 10 October Chesterfield Sling Library is having a party, including the drawing of the raffle that Lindsay has been running. There's still time to buy your raffle tickets to win one of the fabulous prizes. check out the library's Facebook page to find out more about the party.
On Thursday 11 October we are having a babywearing photoshoot. Source Photography are allowing ten mums, dads and their babies to potentially cause havoc in their studio, all in the name of getting some fabulous photos of our members carrying their children. Watch out for the photos appearing on our website!
We're also very excited to have some really beautiful slings on loan from sling manufacturers, and we'll be telling you all about them next week.
On Friday we're going to rest! Then on Saturday 13 October we're finishing the week off with a rare treat - a weekend sling meet at the Showroom Cinema. Not in the cinema itself, of course, but in one of their lovely conference rooms. Big thanks to the Showrom for kindly donating use of their room.
